    Bamboo Cotton Buds

What is the problem with plastic cotton buds?

Single-use plastics are one of the most important environmental problems today, with millions of tonnes of plastic ending up in ecosystems and oceans every year. Plastic takes decades to break down into smaller pieces, and never fully breaks down because it remains as particles of “micro-plastics”.

Okay … so why Pura Source bamboo cotton buds?

Bamboo cotton buds are 100% biodegradable and do not add to the growing plastic waste crisis. Bamboo cotton buds are also sturdier than plastic-stemmed versions, which is a naturally strong and durable material. This makes our buds suitable for a much wider range of uses compared to plastic stemmed versions.

    Is the packaging also biodegradable?

Yes, you can treat the cardboard packaging as you would any other cardboard for recycling or disposal.

How do I dispose of my Pura Source Bamboo Cotton Buds?

The entire cotton bud is biodegradable, so you can dispose along with your other kitchen or green waste, or put them on your compost heap. Do not flush down the toilet!

    Biodegradable Natural Wedding Confetti

Is your confetti 100% natural and biodegradable?

Yes, there is no plastic, bleach or chemicals in our natural flower petal confetti. Even normal paper confetti contains colourings and bleaches which dissolve in water and end up in rivers and streams.

    Is the packaging biodegradable?

Like most other brands, in order to keep the confetti fresh and looking great, we use a re-sealable pouch, which is not recyclable. We are working to find a 100% biodegradable packing option which also keeps the lovely flower petals fresh and bright.

    Where is your confetti sourced?

We source our flower petals and buds from biodynamic farms in the Rose Valley of Bulgaria, which is one of the most famous rose growing regions in the world. The flowers there have been renowned for their quality for hundreds of years. No chemicals are use in the farming of our flowers.

What is the shelf-life of your confetti?

It can keep looking fresh for up to 1 year, provided it is kept in a cool dark place away from direct sunlight.
